Recent Beach Trash Inspired this Poem Entitled: Pack It In! Pack It Out! – Kook’s Litter
Posted onPack It In! Pack It Out! – Kook’s Litter
plastic bottle caps create a barefoot minefield at the beach entrance
spent beer cans encircle a deserted self-extinguished shoreline bonfire
saturated cigarette butts sunbathe, releasing their toxins into the soil
undergarments lie indiscreetly, abandoned from an evening’s passion
remnants of a bar of surf wax, now sand encrusted, lazily left behind
opaque shopping bags mimic a swarm of jellyfish floating in the surf
Pack It In! Pack It Out!
